Of course we all know that eating breakfast is important but there are so many options to choose from. My personal favorite is to have eggs made in a variety of ways. The great thing about eggs is that they have a multitude of great benefits but they can also be prepared in different ways. They can be specially made to fit your health restrictions or dietary preference as well.



Eggs are especially great for the eyes. The latest studies have shown that an egg a day and stop Muscular Degeneration which is leading cause of blindness. Eggs can prevent this disease because of the carotenoid content in eggs. Carrots contain Carotenoid. Most studies have found that consuming eggs everyday will lower the risk of cataracts. When the lens of your eye gets clouded it is called cataract. This leads to a decrease in vision and is another very common cause of blindness.



Eggs are a great source of protein and all nine essential amino acids. They are a good source of choline as well. A large egg has 30% of you daily dose. Eggs contain Choline which is essential to help regulate the nervous system, brain, and cardiovascular system. Choline is found mostly in the yolk, so feel free to skip out on the egg-white omelets now and again. Eggs also have the right kind of fat. one egg consists of five grams of fat and only 1.5 grams of saturated fat.



All eggs contain the same basic healthy nutrients. Large eggs have 72 calories in them and if you eat them without the yolk that number reduces greatly. Eggs are the only food we eat that contain naturally reoccurring vitamin D. Eggs are also a great source of sulphur and B12 which promote healthy hair growth.



You don't want to buy contaminated eggs so pay attention when you shopping for eggs. If the label on the carton says "Organic eggs" it means that these were laid by chickens that aren't fed nasty slaughterhouse byproducts, antibiotics, or other additives. If the carton says "Pasteurized" means that the eggs have been in placed in warm water to kill bacteria. This label is a great label to look for. Another label that is great to look for is that there is "Omega-3" in the eggs. If you're not a fish eater, look for this label. These heart- healthy fatty acids are essential in every diet.



Many active people eat eggs as part of there nutritional and healthy lifestyle.
