The economic reality not just in India but alsoall over the world has taken a twisted turn where the survival and growth of a company depends upon how well an employee performs. The job market has endured a brutal change where experienced as well as amateuraspirants are battling out to achieve their desired job opportunities or at least qualify to certain levelsof their respective job profiles. The demands and expectations of an employer have become highly specialised where even the highly skilled professional has to continuously upgrade and update himself. The economic turmoil has caused an intense competition among employees due to which each one tries to surpass his/herco-worker by being more diverse, insightful, knowledgeable and work efficient.

The biggest challenge organisations are nowadays facing is the increasing employee attrition rate. Job insecurity and dissatisfaction among employees further lowers the motivation level, causing the organisation to lose even the most productive of workforce. This is one scenario where the employee leaves the job either due to a lucrative job opportunity whilein the second scenario the employee loses his job for not meetingcompany's expectations. While both the cases are extremely unfavourable, the latter one creates a negative impact on the emotional value of the working professional, an alarming situation that seeks for an improvement in the current work atmosphere.

However, India has taken necessary steps to combat and provide support systems that would bridge the gap between the potential workforce and the pool of job opportunities. National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) aims to promote skill development by providing supportservices and funds to Private sector initiatives. By polishing the skills and enhancing the abilities through various specialised and vocational courses, the candidates are able to take a stand to acquire suitable job positions for themselves. NSDC's objective is to up skill 500 million people in India by 2022 by fostering more and more private sector initiatives.

Many renowned private companies are incorporating Corporate Training in Indiain order to develop a productive team that will push the company to grow and compete effectively in the market. Corporate training helps in improving the employees performance, thereby, contributes to the company's benefit and sustainability. A well planned learning program can train the employees from the top management to the lower management where focus can be on communication skills, interpersonal skills, stress combating skills and team building skills.

In today's dynamic world, corporate training has become the need of the hour. Training in core areas not only enables the company to understand the psychology of employees but also fills the environment with positivity and constructivebehavioural change. A better understanding between the employees and employers can only come through smoothcommunication and training further induces a healthy conversation. It is important for the organizations to realize the importance of corporate training that will act as a saviour during the times of recession as the power of any organisation lies with the people who work for it.
